Cough Syrup

The four medications ambroxol, guaifenesin, menthol, and terbutaline sulphate are combined in this cough syrup. Ambroxol is a mucolytic, meaning that it thins and loosens mucus to make it easier to cough up. An expectorant called guaifenesin helps to clear the airways of secretions by reducing their stickiness and making them less sticky. An organic substance called menthol gives out a cooling feeling and soothes mild throat discomfort. A bronchodilator like terbutaline helps to open up the airways by relaxing the muscles around them. Breathing becomes simpler when they work together.
